As the Field Operations Manager (FOM) at Riverside Services, you’ll be at the forefront of managing our field employees and ensuring that production goals are met while upholding our high quality and safety standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and Support Teams: Directly manage foremen and field teams, fostering a positive, high-performing work environment while ensuring they have the support and guidance needed to succeed.

• Facility and Safety Oversight: Maintain the Riverside Services yard, ensuring it is clean and organized weekly—while upholding safety procedures and addressing unsafe conditions promptly.

• Recruitment and Training: Collaborate with the Landscape Maintenance GM to assess staffing needs, hire new crew members, oversee onboarding, and participate in industry seminars to stay current with trends.

• Operational Coordination: Regularly communicate with Account Managers to stay informed on client/site needs, and participate in weekly scheduling, safety, and management meetings to ensure efficient operations.

• Winter and Off-Season Management: Oversee snow removal operations, manage uniforms, equipment, and off-season duties such as salt deliveries and spring readiness.

• Reporting and Accountability: Submit detailed weekly reports, including close-out information, training updates, purchase requests, and employee issues by Thursday.

Production, Quality, and Safety Responsibilities:

• Hands-On Leadership: Work alongside crews as needed to ensure schedules and budgets are met.

• Crew Support: Rotate through crew visits, spending quality time with two to three crews daily to offer guidance and maintain high standards.

• Training & Development: Provide hands-on training to field employees in equipment operation, safety practices, and quality techniques, minimizing property damage through focused instruction.

• Quality Control: Ensure that every project meets Riverside Services' high-quality standards, and address any areas needing improvement.

• Winter Training Support: Oversee compliance and implementation of Greenius Software Training and support the team during winter training.

• Field Operations Oversight: Manage repair orders, communicate priorities with mechanics, and provide ongoing counsel and discipline for field employees.

• Site Visit Reports: Perform Sitefotos reports to catalog training opportunities, quality inspections, and overall site performance during each visit.

What You Bring:

• Leadership mindset with the ability to motivate and manage teams.

• Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices and safety standards. 

• Collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills to work with both crew members and account managers.

• Commitment to quality and attention to detail in every aspect of the job.

• Valid driver’s license.

• The ability to obtain certification as a Landscape Technician within six months of employment.
